Subani
Subani was born in 1951. He started studying law in the Faculty Of Law, University Of Indonesia in the middle of 1979 and graduated from this Faculty in January 1985. Afterwards, he took Master Of Law degree in the University of Tarumanagara in Jakarta and graduated in 2002. Previously, before entering the Faculty of Law, he studied English and earned a Bachelor Degree in English from the Academy Of Foreign Languages in Yogyakarta in 1974.
Subani became a full‑timer lawyer in the middle of 1992 after practicing as a part‑timer lawyer since the beginning of 1986. Before that, he worked as an administrative staff at the National Agency For Export Development of Indonesia soon after he finished his study in the Academy Of Foreign Languages in Yogyakarta.
He has actively participated in some seminars on law either as speaker or participant and has also attended trainings on matters related to export programme conducted both in Indonesia and in foreign countries. Subani had an experience of teaching English for four years and teaching Indonesian to a number of foreigners in Jakarta for approximately two years.
As a dedicated litigation lawyer, most of the cases he deals with are civil cases, but he also handles cases on industrial relation matters, cases referred to the administrative court and cases involving criminal matters. In his day to day activities as a lawyer, he often deals with foreign clients from various countries.
In addition to his duties as a litigation lawyer, he is also a lecturer of Faculty of Law, University of Trisakti, Jakarta. His activities in education include lecturing in the Special Training Program For the Profession of Lawyers on the subjects of Rules Of Civil Procedure , Code of Conducts of Lawyers, and Legal Issues on Bankruptcy.
